Our neighborhood has a championship golf course, four marinas (they're putting a fifth this summer), a huge community pool with club house and playground, right next to the lighted tennis courts. We have hiking trails and just about everyone walks in the morning or afternoon on the sidewalks. Our golf club house serves, breakfast and lunch and usually in the summer has cookouts every Friday evening. We have all kinds of clubs here - bunko, bridge, table tennis, book, bingo - something for everyone. People are so from the south here - very nice and polite.
