It's a ground-level apartment, if that makes a difference, and the lease that I renewed is a 1yr agreement that would start on 4/5/17. There would be an application process to go through, but I'm happy to cover the application fee ($30 or so) and the $100 rental transition fee that the office will be assigning. In taking over the lease, you would have to agree to the condition of the apartment As-Is. I'm not a monster though, and I feel I keep the place in very clean order. I'm leaving because my job is relocating me back to California in the next couple of months, and instead of paying a lease break penalty, I'm much rather have someone who needs an apartment simply take over the lease. It's very safe and the apartment has easy access to major freeways with downtown SLC about 15 minutes away. I've lived in the complex happily for 2 years and I was about to make it 3, but duty calls, and California beckons.
