Chemung Crossing has 45 housing units affordable to individuals and families earning between 30% and 60% of the Area Median Income; there are 11 units designated for 30% AMI, 9 units designated for 40% AMI, 17 units designated for 50% AMI, and 8 units designated for 60% AMI. The special population served by this project will be persons with physical disability/Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The South Main Street area is a traditional mixed-use area where residents have easy, walkable access to Tops Supermarket and other area businesses. Eleven (11) units of Project-Based Vouchers and rents are set at the contract amount for Chemung County. Project amenities include Energy Star appliances, cable hook-up, central air, private bulk storage, off-street reserved parking, and access to laundry, and community room facilities. Residents of the project will have access to the leasing office, 715 square feet of community room space, and laundry provided in the 214-224 South Main Street building. All buildings are located in Chemung County. Landlord pays Gas, Electric, water, sewer and snow removal and provides stove and refrigerator. Payment for all other utilities and services are the responsibility of the Tenant, including, but not limited to telephone, and cable TV.
