This is an adorable little dollhouse on a really hot street in Midtown Just east of East Parkway off Poplar. Renos and new construction abound so you know this street is only get going to get better. This little cottage starts with a porch with charming arched trim and opens into the really nice size living room. There are 2 arched niches flanking the [of course] arched opening to the dining room with 2 windows overlooking the shady back yard. The kitchen retains some of its original appointments including glass-front cabinets and cast iron sink with drainboards. But it is updated with butcher block tops, tile backsplash, and all new stainless appliances. Gas range, vented hood, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, disposer, and stack laundry center. Somewhere along the way a garden window was installed over the sink - a perfect place for an indoor herb garden! There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with vintage Gerber Classic tub & shower trim, original light green tile w/ black border, a modern toilet, new vanity, and new black & white tile floor. A drawback of small houses like this is the lack of storage, and this one is no exception. There is a good size hall linen closet and each bedroom has one, one of which is cedar, but you can't get all of your clothes in them. As to things that don't have to be kept in the house, there is a detached single garage w/ light and power for your lawn mower, yard tools, bikes, and maybe even, God forbid, car. There is another little structure at the back of the yard that looks literally like an outhouse. I didn't do anything w/ it - that's up to your imagination. Chicken coop, doghouse? Electrical and plumbing have been updated as needed and there is brand new and super quiet Carrier central gas heat and air. We are still doing finishing touches and cleaning out but I will show it w/ that caveat. Will be completely finished before 2021 is.
