    What's special

Welcome Aboard! This Houseboat is full of light and nice architectural details. Great location in Wallingford right next to Gasworks Park, the Burke-Gilman trail with easy access to both Fremont, UW, I-5 and Hwy 99. Entering the houseboat through a heavy teak door you come into the kitchen with oak floors, stainless steel stove, maple counter tops, clear douglas fir wainscoting. Continuing inside you can go up the ships ladder to the loft bedroom or down to the full bath, full size closet and the living room. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub for your soaking enjoyment and a shower. The living room has high ceiling and plenty of windows. Leaded glass windows and varnished wainscoting throughout. There is additional storage space for boxed items or skiis/paddles below the kitchen and space for kayaks, paddle boards and water toys on the roof. The marina has coin-op laundry, additional bathrooms with showers and uplands patio space. One off-street permitted parking pass is included. Decent additional on-street parking in front of marina. Adult pets are negotiable with pet rent and/or significant deposit due to the teak door and nice woodwork. No noisy canine companions please. Pets must be on leash at all times in the marina. This is a fantastic place to live! We look forward to each season in different ways. In the summer you will have front row seats for the Lake Union 4th of July fireworks, Duck Dodge sailboat races, and non stop boating. As the summer winds down, the lake becomes more peaceful and it is a great time to enjoy paddleboading, kayaking and rowing. Winter is fun to watch the weather come over the downtown skyline, eagles, ducks, herons and a few beaver come through. Great restaurants, one of the best bakeries and breweries are nearby on Stone Way. The marina is a close knit and diverse community, we have regular marina dinner get togethers if you wish to participate. For those new to houseboats, things are pretty similar to living on the land, just better. A couple of differences are that a marine sanitation company will come twice a month to pump out your black water holding tank for about $50, your only involvement with that process is writing a check each month and keeping an eye on the holding tank level. You will be required to follow environmental best management marina practices and use biodegradable soaps. This houseboat is in a nice position towards the end of the dock, which is about a hundred yard walk from the parking lot. There are handcarts available to help with transporting heavier items. This is a houseboat and as such it does have a gentle movement. Most people find the motion pleasant in all but the largest storms. The loft bedroom does not have full standing headroom and due to the access cannot take innerspring type mattress'. The heat is electric and the stove is gas. There is abundant electrical capacity and you can keep the houseboat as hot as you prefer. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO LOOK AT THE 2 MINUTE WALK THROUGH VIDEO: https youtu.be/NVaAug8Z9S8 or search "Lake Union Houseboat for Rent, 2143 N. Northlake Way #28" The houseboat can be shown on short notice. Let the adventure begin! Cheers, David 206-890-2335 cell or text Tenant pays electric and gas averaging $25/month. Water and garbage are included. Last months rent can be split up over several months with 700+ credit score. Somewhat flexible on rental term length, but prefer no move outs Nov-Jan. No subleases or AirBnB use. Pets need to have pet reference and you will need to introduce them to us prior to signing a lease. Carpet steam cleaning fee $125. Security and Damage deposit is half a months rent is due at lease signing.
