    A very special property, this apartment was built with the high-end features you'd expect to find in a luxury condominium. The 1,080 square foot, brand-new 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment, with a roof deck, is in a c.1880 former chocolate factory. You can enter the apartment from an exterior staircase on the back which leads to your private roof deck, or via the front porch, through a light-filled 2-story atrium, with an exposed brick wall, tile floors, and interior oak & steel staircase. There is one other unit in the building on the 1st floor, which is also listed for rent. The sunny interior features industrial design, including a patinated metal-wrapped kitchen island, inspired by steel carts from another local chocolate factory. The location is ideal; two blocks south of LGH-Penn hospital, and 1.5 blocks north of Musser Park, on a quiet residential side street in Lancaster City. It's walkable to all the restaurants, shops, and offices downtown, and the Amtrak train station, as well as the hospital. Each unit will have one reserved off-street parking space. There is parking on neighboring streets, or additional parking lot spaces for purchase within a few blocks. The apartment has all new appliances, including a full-size washer, and dryer, an induction stove-top, and stainless steel wall fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and an under-sink garbage disposal. A large lockable extra storage space is included in the basement for each unit. The high-ceiling basement also has space for a potential workshop or work-out space (for additional fee, negotiable with owner.) Please note: The exterior rear stairs to the roof deck, have stainless steel treads with a highly textured surface, for secure footing in bad weather. We do not think this 2nd floor apartment is suitable for a dog-owner. The pavers in the parking area are being installed later in Spring, as will some rear landscaping and fencing.
