Part of the Loray Mill National Register Historic District, this circa 1900 home retains its original hardwood floors, beadboard walls, and original single hung windows, which have been restored and reglazed. In the 1940s, the original two front doors of this Style B mill house were replaced with double windows, and a single front door created. The house exterior and interior has been painted according to guidelines set forth by Preservation NC. A new but historically appropriate kitchen floor has been installed; bathroom restoration revealing the original claw foot bath tub and reinstalling a period-appropriate sink(electricity and plumbing added circa 1920) has been completed. Storm windows protect the original historic 1902 windows on the sides and the circa 1940 windows in the front.
