My current roommate has just decided to move out and I have a room to rent in a place called the Carriage House in Brookline, MA. The location is prime because it's located 30 seconds away from the St Paul St T station (Green C line) and a few blocks away from Coolidge Corner (and the Trader Joe's in Coolidge). My current lease is up at the end of June 2015 and would need someone to co-sign the lease with me for a year. The unit itself is a 2 bed/2 bath unit located on the 3rd floor with a huge living room, a lot of common space, large windows and a lot of natural light. The entire unit is approximately 1200 square feet (which is rare in Boston!). The building has it's own pool as well that opens during the summer for the residents! I am planning to keep the Master for myself but I would love to share the space with someone of similar mindset as me for the second bedroom (12' x 11'). This room will be rented out for $1200 (includes heat and water) and monthly utilities for internet and electricity is about $50-70/month. The room is unfurnished and it is able to fit a full queen sized bed and a few other items of furniture. Did I mention that it comes with your own private bathroom? Move-in will include first month's rent ($1200), security deposit ($1300) and background/credit check (~$200). The dining area is furnished and so is the kitchen. Since my current roommate is moving out, she will be taking most of the furniture in the living room with her. I am thinking of getting stuff to replace them with, pending my new roommate's move-in (probably you!). Just in case you would need to know a little bit about me, I am a graduate student on the last leg of my PhD at Boston Children's Hospital. I am very clean and courteous with an excellent track record with roommates. If you need contacts with my ex-roommates, I would be more than happy to reference them. I've always had a female roommate, but I am open to anyone. I generally like to cook a lot and I sometimes to have friends come over on the weekends for dinner and/ drinks. Generally, I am a really positive person, mostly cheerful and somewhat social! :) If all of that sounds great with you, and so do the photos, please feel free to contact me via email and we can arrange a viewing. Move in date will be July 1st (a little after July 1st is also okay with me). One caveat set by my nice landlords -- no undergraduates, sorry! Includes heat and water. Excludes internet and electricity. Laundry room is in the building.
