The Judson House ... Eclectic/Queen Anne Influence c. 1894. This 116 year old home was designed and built by well known artist and famous painter William Lees Judson, first Dean of the Arts and Architecture School of USC and the owner/founder of The Judson Stained Glass Studio --referred to as the "Tiffany of the West" stain glass makers since 1895, which is still owned and operated by the Judson family and is across the street from the house - This Large home with a flow through floor plan (downstairs), has a possible 5th Bedroom downstairs (library), wide staircase to second floor, small room next to master bedroom that was once an original nursery/sitting room (not counted as a bedroom) .. No Garage but Large driveway with off street parking for at least 4 vehicles. Exterior architecture is an interesting jumble of Craftsman and late Victorian. The first story is arroyo stone, and the second is of clapboard and patterned shingles. The left bay window has a low flat roof: the right bay has a mansard: and the polygonal tower has a flattened roof. An art studio was added in 1920 when Mr Judson retired from USC. House resides on a street with several other historical homes. Easy access to the 110 Fwy and Downtown Los Angeles ...
