Pendergrast Farm is one of the last remnants of a historic farm in North Atlanta. This 8.7-acre woodland and farm is being developed as a conservation community. It was initiated by the landowners to preserve the historic farm and woodlands and is being designed as a health and sustainably based community. It will preserve the majority of the land as green space. It will preserve the majority of the land as green space. we are able to save 400 of the 500 major trees on the land.Pendergrast Farm will be comprised of a 20-unit village of custom homes surrounded by 6.5 acres of green space and a stream. Key amenities will include a 1.5-acre managed farm; CSA subscription to organic farm-fresh produce; a 5-acre woodland with a stream, side trail, and waterfall; gazebo; pool; common green; and a community house. The community house offers space for social gatherings. It is designed to provide maker space workshops for woodworking and arts; extra bedrooms for visitors; and meeting room spaces for Yoga, book clubs and exercise classes. This reduces the home sizes in the community by providing space outside the home for the most common but low event home space needs. The 3 or 4 bedroom homes will range in sizes from 2100 SF to 3000 SF. Homes will front a pedestrian way along the farm, green, or woodland. The homes will be built to EarthCraft energy and Healthy House principles. All homes have the option of having Aging in Place standards and many have elevator cores designed into the home for current or future needs.
