I'm looking for one person, a non-smoker with no pets, to sublet my fully furnished one bedroom/ 1 bath place for at least three months. It's a comfortable, homey place, three blocks from the beach, and a short walking distance to downtown Manhattan Beach. There is even a small yard with a succulent garden, and you can see hummingbirds visit a feeder right from the living room. This is the bottom half of a house, with its own entrance, bath, bedroom, and kitchen. (Full disclosure, the kitchen sink is small.) Two people live upstairs, but the door between the two floors is always kept locked. It's like having two professional and considerate roommates that you hear, but don't see. Washer and dryer on premises. Plenty of street parking (it's in South Manhattan Beach.) Rent is $2300 per month, which includes utilities, and a deposit of $2400 is required. I will perform a credit check. Available now until approximately September 21st. I am looking for someone to sublet at least three months. Frequently Asked Questions Would you consider two people as subletters? Unfortunately, no. Why are you subletting? Every year I housesit for some neighbors whose house is just two blocks away. Does your landlord know you are housesitting? Yes. This is the fourth summer I have sublet my place. Do I have to pay for all three months at once? No. You will pay $2300 in rent every month. Is there room for my furniture? There is room for a coffee table, but that's about it. Is this a studio? No, it's the bottom floor of a house with its own entrance, kitchen, and bathroom. There is a door between the living room and bedroom, and door between the bedroom and bathroom. There is a door between the downstairs and upstairs that is always kept locked. My place is available from now until approx September 21st, and my ideal tenant is one person who can sublet at least 3 months. A deposit will be required, and I will perform a credit check. Rent includes utilities (gas, electric, water, trash, and wifi.) No pets. No smoking.
