Lloydmont Estates is a housing plan of only 30 homes, making it a small community of friends. Homeowners in Lloydmont Estates are a variety of ages from young people with no children to families with little children and older children to empty nesters, like us. The neighbors in Lloydmont Estates are always there, when needed. In the mid-1990’s when there was a huge mid-March snow storm, the neighborhood men and youth braved the very deep snow to work on shoveling out the neighborhood driveways and cars that got stuck! When we have dealt with serious health issues, the neighbors were always there to lend a helping hand. Even ones whom we didn’t know well! We don’t know how we would have managed without them. A summer party is held in one of the cul-de-sacs, making it a time when neighbors who don’t see each other often can visit, and the children and youth can enjoy games and activities to the delight of neighbors who are enjoying watching them grow up. Besides the wonderful friends and neighbors, Lloydmont Estates is in a terrific location. Lloydmont Estates is 2 miles from Interstate-79, making all of the main arteries extremely accessible: • the PA turnpike can be accessed in less than 10 minutes; • Retail establishments in Cranberry Township in less than 10 minutes; • Washington County and Interstate 70 can be reached in 30 minutes; • downtown Pittsburgh is 16 miles away, but leaving at 6:30 a.m., we could be in our offices in less than 25 minutes; • Beautiful North Park, which offers biking/walking trails, ice skating, and dog runs is less than 10 minutes away; and • Retail establishments on McKnight Road can be reached is about 15 minutes, and retail establishments in Gibsonia are just 5 miles away! Lloydmont Estates has been the perfect place for us to live these past almost-17 years!
