I love almost everything about this place and every single moment in past 2 years I lived in this apartment. There really was nothing to complain about. Let me name a few unique perks of this place: a) Extremely close to the downtown, the campus, bike trails, bus stops, tennis courts, the Capitol Square, Lake Monona, grocery stores, and liquor stores (All within walking distance. 10min) b) The neighborhood and the residents are so quiet. Virtually any apartment in Madison downtown is surrounded by or close to different sources of noise, including partying UW undergrads, except for this place. For the past two years, I have not suffered from party noise or anything of that nature even once. (+ Soundproofing is also excellent) c) And you get all this under $700 which includes furniture, hot water, heat, and storage. d) Another perk about this specific unit is that it's at a corner of the 1st floor, meaning: It's close to the laundry room, storage, trash point, the parking garage, the building entry, all without having to experience noise. (I think that's why this unit is $15 more expensive than other studios in this complex). The only reason I leave this place is because I want to move in with my girlfriend. Without that one reason, I would live here for an extended period of time. I may not be responsive to FB DMs. Monthly rent is 685$. Deposit is the same. Renter is responsible for electricity and the internet. Heated parking is $100/mo and surface parking is $85/mo. This is a re-rental, NOT a sublet. i.e., you become a legitimate tenant of this unit when you move in. Plus, I pay all the administrative fee for the re-rental.
