Sunny 1br right between Harvard, Inman and Porter. The apartment itself is on the first floor, it has hardwood floors, many (new and energy efficient) windows, a nice front porch, a convenient layout and it is deleaded. There is also off-street parking, and if you have lived in Cambridge you know how important that can be in the winter... If you have safety concerns about urban living on the first floor, then FYI the apartment also has a state of the art monitored alarm system (although we've never had any break ins, it is just a matter of peace of mind). Utilities are not included, but the apartment is heated with steam radiators heated by natural gas, so your electric bills should be minimal and your gas bills in the winter should be relatively low (as long as you don't crank the thermostat all the way up) because of the energy efficient newer windows throughout etc. Myrtle ave is a small and quiet one-way street close to the Cambridge/Somerville border. The location simply could not be any better, three great restaurants, a deli, a cafe, an ATM and dry cleaning within 500 feet, the red line is half a mile away, Harvard square, Harvard law school, divinity school, graduate school of design, center for government and international studies, Weatherhead center for international affairs and Fairbanks center for Chinese studies are all also within half a mile, Harvard's JFK school and Belfer center are a little over half a mile away but still less than a mile, so are Porter square and Inman square. Finally, we will be living in the unit above you so we are very accessible/available landlords for anything which might come up.
