A driveway that serves many purposes as told by the present owner: Weve lived in our home for about 40 years and always driven all-wheel drive cars - Subarus, Volvos, Hondas, Audis, VW, etc. Sometimes a sled is left near the mailbox in winter for a luge run! Unlike some of our neighbors who report hearing street noise from time to time, this is not an issue for us and we love the privacy. Another great thing about our home compared with others is the large parking and turnaround area at the end of the driveway no need to back up onto the street! Even our mailman appreciates this when he delivers packages. Oil delivery trucks always pull their hoses from the street to the tank no problem. We typically tell first time visitors not to be intimidated by appearances and they inevitably agree that it is much easier than it looks. When folks ask what we do in the winter we tell them a) we have all-wheel drive cars and have never had a problem making it up the hill b) our self-propelled snow blower does a super job and it could come with the house for the right price, and c) on occasion, weve engaged a plow service when were traveling or when illness keeps us from using the trusty snow blower.
