*This one is for all of the early planners out there* My fiance and I are relocating back to the east coast to be closer to family in the coming months, so we are looking for another tenant/partnership/small family to take over the lease on our charming and spacious house-like apartment. We live on the second floor of a two-story walk-up, and the landlord's daughter, her husband, and their two daughters in grade school live below us. We share a backyard, which right now is decked out with a little swimming pool and medium-size trampoline for their kids (and always willing/offering to share), along with tons of beautiful flowers and plants our wonderful landlord tends to all of the grounds (including shoveling snow in the winter), and each summer he has graciously invited us to pluck as much of his freshly growing mint leaves to enjoy as we like! Location: - 2 blocks away from the sprawling greens of Winnemac Park - Less than 1/2 mile away from restaurants and shops in Lincoln Square - 10 minute walk to Western Brown Line stop - 15 minute walk to Damen Brown Line stop - Less than 20 minute walk to Ravenswood Metra stop - 1 mile walk to the south end of Andersonville's restaurants and shops Apartment Details: - 1100 square feet; hardwood floors throughout; lots of windows and sunlight; central A/C and heat; ceiling fans in living spaces - 2 bedroom (our setup is a King bed in the room closer to the entrance/Queen bed in the room closer to the backyard) - 1 bathroom with large tub/shower, cabinet and two drawers below sink, and a storage nook - Independently heated office/sunroom overlooking backyard - Living room overlooks Argyle Street and has a decorative faux-fireplace mantel/shelf - Dining room blends through the center of the apartment - Kitchen is at far end of the apartment; includes an open pantry near the refrigerator nook, built in spice rack, dishwasher, and plenty of cabinets - 5 closets/storage areas: * Large cedar closet embedded within entranceway closet * Spacious storage closet in living room alongside heating and A/C unit * Standard size closet in each bedroom * Linen closet in dining room/near bathroom - Free laundry and unshared washer/dryer in basement (access through outside covered back stairs) - Shared enclosed backyard - Easy (non-permit) street parking We have absolutely loved living here for the past 2.5 years with our two kitties (you can spot them in the backyard photos), so I know for sure it is cat-friendly; but I will have to check with our landlord about dogs. Landlord requires tenants to have good credit and a small application fee + first month's rent ($1450) as a security deposit. Our current lease ends at the end of March 2021; preference will be given to those who plan to stay on to renew the one-year lease at that point in time (through March 2022). Tenant pays all utilities (A/C + heat/electric + gas and internet/cable) - Peoples Gas: our average spring/summer bill has been around $55/month and our average fall/winter bill has been around $120/month. - ComEd: our bill over the course of a year fluctuates but averages out to around $80/month.
