The Town of Quantico, unique in that it is the only town in the United States completely surrounded by a military installation on 3 sides, with the Potomac River on the fourth side. You do not need to be military to rent here! The visitor center will give you an ID card for the length of your lease to allow access on Fuller Road to get to/from the town. This is a one bedroom fully remodeled and modern apartment that is beautifully decorated, a nice quiet space with nobody above or below you. The unit is tastefully remodeled and fully furnished with all utilities included and laundry unit as well! As you enter you'll have a wall hook rack for storage of coats/purses, a nice bench with storage for shoes, etc. as well as a desk and chair. The beautiful kitchen has a eat-in counter space and has been fully remodeled and stocked with everything you need for cooking meals and daily living. The adjoining living room has a newer couch (will get new photos), sitting chair, lift-top coffee table, TV and stand, as well as ceiling fan. The bedroom has a queen size bed with storage drawers in the front as well as a TV, small closet, and ceiling fan. The bathroom is directly across from bedroom. The lower level is owner's storage area but also has a washer/dryer available for your use. Amtrak and VRE train stop under 5 minute walk direct to Alexandria, Crystal City, or DC (Union Station). In town you can fish, watch the sunset at the Potomac River, visit restaurants, or drive 5 minutes to the golf course (open to public). For DoD Cardholders it is 7 min walk to theater/gym/bowling and about a 10 minute drive (or less) to commissary. The neighborhood is easy to walk around in. Just one street over you will find several small restaurants and carry-out dining as well as a small convenience store. Many close after lunchtime but a few are open into the evening. If you want a marine style haircut, there are plenty of barber shops there as well. The train station for the VRE and Amtrak is a short 5-minute walk from the home - it is easy to catch the train for a trip into DC. If you have a DoD ID the movie theatre, bowling alley, and gym are a short 10 minute walk away. The Medal of Honor golf course and restaurant - open to the public - is less than a 5-minute drive. Just off base you'll find the historic City of Triangle with a small casino, food, grocery, antique and thrift stores, and some historical sites. Street parking is available at no cost - no reserved parking but generally, there is availability right in front of the home. You can play basketball at the park and enjoy the view of the Potomac River, there are also community grills and picnic tables at the park for use. There is a beautiful pier you can walk out on for views and also some great fishing or to launch a kayak (you would need to bring your own equipment but there is room to store on the side of the home). The Quantico USMC Marina (4 min walk) has kayaks and boats available for rent. The beautiful Medal of Honor Golf Course at Marine Corps Quantico is available to the public for use and is a 5 minute drive from the home, tee time reservations are recommended. Fully furnished unit. Owner pays for all utilities for unit (water, sewer, gas, electric, internet, trash). Fully furnished unit with everything needed for daily living. Washer and dryer located on lower level (storage unit) for use by tenant only (e.g. not shared). Small amount of storage space available if needed. This rental is the detached ADU behind the main house. There is a small courtyard in between the house and the unit. Street parking available (not reserved).
