My girlfriend and I are looking for a roommate to share my three story home on Forster Street in Harrisburg. The home is located between downtown and midtown Harrisburg and is the perfect location for someone working for the state or attending school nearby. It is in walking distance to many restaurants and bars down/midtown and the riverfront/city island. I am asking $550 a month for the room plus one months rent security deposit. Id prefer to do a six month or one year lease. Utilities are split 3 ways (Approx. max $100 during winter and summer months) The room available is on the third floor and offers a nice space to accommodate a full size bed, dresser and more. The large bathroom is open to use among the roommates and includes a washer and dryer. The kitchen and bath have been newly renovated with excellent appliances. The back patio is a very nice place to cookout and enjoy your time outside. Just a heads up I do have a kitten that mainly stays upstairs on the third floor where my room is. Hes really pleasant and has short hair so he hasn't been an issue with the cleanliness or the air quality of the house. In addition I have one other roommate(Nick) who lives on the second floor in the smaller room next to the one available.
