    What's special

The house was originally built by Kenny Bergren way way back. It was bought by my Grandfather and Grandmother Some time before 1935 ( when I was born.) You can add to your ad that it is the last house on a dead end street, and has an amazing view of Chautauqua Lake. The Lakewood park is across Terrace Ave and has tennis courts and a beach with a lifeguard in the summer. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if I thought there was any chance I might move back there. But no, no chance. Lakewood is only about 8 miles from the Chautauqua Institution which has a 36 holes of golf and a summer program of music and concerts really worth going to. When I was there Chautauqua was the summer home of the Philadelphia Harmonic Orchestra. The only downside is that Lakewood and that part of western NY was recently added to the New York area known as Appalachia. That is, an economically depressed area of the state. But I remember it as a wonderful home and place to grow up. So, you asked for concerns and I gave you some selling material. Lakewood is a wonderful place for kids to grow up as I recall. In fact I don’t know where you live or your circumstances, but if practical, you could go there on vacation. Oh, I didn’t mention but if anyone cares, the living room. I’d bet that it has been carpeted. But if the carpet was removed there is a beautiful pine floor beneath stained deep green. It could easily be refinished. When I lived there as a child and young man there were 3 braided rugs on the floor which my grandmother made. The basement when I left had a beautiful work bench built by my dad. Also there are plentiful cabinets and shelves.
