Our story... Let us introduce you to our treasured family homestead that we three siblings are selling in the spring of 2015. The house was built by our grandfather carpenter, John, and talented father, Jack in 1951. The two of them diligently applied their best carpentry skills to fashion a superiorly constructed traditional Cape Cod style home. The workmanship is simple and accurate with an emphasis on quality. The house has been maintained in fine condition over the years and is a low maintenance home. The rooms where painted two years ago. The kitchen has been totally remodeled in 2019 with granite counter tops, new sink, cabinets and flooring. The bathroom has been updated with new flooring, sink and vanity, and plumbing. The house is located in a quiet, minimal traffic, safe and family oriented neighborhood known as “Hardscrabble” when we were kids. Kids can still walk to school from here! The Wood? Solid oak floors are natural in color, in excellent condition and exist in all rooms except the bathroom and kitchen. There is off street parking for two vehicles on a paved driveway with room to expand if desired - also parking for three cars on the street. There is a spacious wooden deck off the back of the house which is accessed from the kitchen. The deck gets morning and afternoon sun and overlooks the friendly neighbor’s naturally landscaped back yard. It is only a five minute walk to the village with its piers, shops and restaurants. And only a ten minute walk to the nearest beach.
