This house is in livable condition, but does need some work done on it. This was recently occupied by a tenant, but the owner is now interested in selling the home and investing in other areas.The house is located just off Brownsville Road in Carrick near Mt. Oliver. The first floor features a living room, dining room, kitchen, and foyer. Upstairs the second floor has 4 bedrooms and a full bath. The attic level offers two more rooms, one that could be a bedroom and one that could be storage. The basement is unfinished and has laundry hook-ups. Please see the floor plans in the photos for room sizes and layout.Outside there is on-street parking and a large covered porch in front. In the back there is a deck off the basement level and the lot is such that off-street parking could be created at the back of the lot (from the lower street). The adjacent vacant lot is being offered for sale by the city for a few hundred dollars in their side-lot sale program.PROPERTY CONDITIONThe property was recently occupied by a tenant, so all basic systems are in place & working the heat, roof, utilities, etc. are all average to better condition. The interior finishes are beat up we tried to show some of it in the photos. Carpets are worn & stained, it could use paint, etc. Also there are a number of smaller items broken light fixtures, damaged door frames, some cracked plaster, etc. The kitchen floor is in need of replacement. The tub in the bathroom could use recoating or be replaced.Outside the soffit and fascia will need painted or wrapped. The roof looks pretty good, though it appears there is a flashing leak near the chimney (spot visible in bedroom ceiling).The foundation has settled & needs some work. We did get a bid of $5K for that repair, but have not had the work done as a crack on the side has only widened about 1/4 in 10 years. Possibly fixing downspouts (ground water) & some pointing is all that s needed, but we can t say that for sure and would recommend you have a professional evaluate it.Windows are vinyl (installed 2004), heating system (boiler) installed 2007, plumbing is in good shape, electric is all circuit breakers.HANDYMAN SPECIALThis property is being offered for sale or as rent-to-own.
