She is in her 30s and works in the non-profit world. She's away from the house about 85% of the time due to travel. - Roommate #2 has the two rooms at the back of the house. She is in her 30s and works as for a nonprofit. About the Location: This is a great spot for someone who works in Navy Yard, Capitol Hill or NoMa but is looking to stick to a budget. You'll be located on a quiet street near the heart of Historic Anacostia, close to Anacostia Park, 295, I-695, Capitol Hill, and right across the river from Navy Yard. The house is also a convenient commute by car to Capitol Hill (8 minutes), Downtown DC (14 minutes), Coast Guard HQ (7 minutes), Suitland Federal Center (12 minutes), JBAB (11 minutes), the Pentagon (11 minutes), and Old Town Alexandria (18 minutes). This is a quiet, residential neighborhood but you're a six-minute walk from downtown Anacostia and spots like Grounded Cafe, Marion Barry Avenue Market and Cafe, Busboys & Poets, DCity Smokehouse, and Turning Natural Juice Bar. This spot has an 76 Walk Score and is also within walking distance (14 minutes) of the Green Line at the nearby Anacostia Metro Station and also close to several bus stops and capital bike share hubs. A couple of small neighborhood bodegas and the Marion Barry Avenue Market, which sells fresh local produce, are within walking distance, plus Safeway, Lidl, Harris Teeter, and Trader Joe's are a short drive or bike ride away.
