We lucked into it because our friends were moving out of the country, now we must move out of town for work by year end. It really is a great place, by far the best for the money of 5-10 places that we looked at last Summer. Our rent is $2,650, but you will have to negotiate (though no fee) with the mgmt. company, they may try and raise it slightly. **WE NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE OVER THE LEASE/SIGN NEW LEASE BEGINNING 1/1.**Technically Long Island City, but we are in Astoria, near Broadway and Crescent.The building is 1 mile from Socrates Park (great rotating sculpture exhibits, weekly activities in warmer months) and also close to Astoria Park; a 5-6 minute walk to the Broadway N/Q subway stop.It's a 2nd floor apartment with a sizeable patio (only 2 units per floor and the 2nd floor has larger patios than the other floors, we have a grill and picnic table on ours), as mentioned in the title, the elevator opens into the apartment. We find this invaluable because we have two young children (strollers, etc.) but it's a cool feature regardless of age/situation.WE WILL BE SHOWING THE APARTMENT ALL DAY THIS FRIDAY/SAT/SUNDAY 12/5, 6, 7. We expect to be moved out by 12/22, they will need to re-paint etc., so should be ready for move in by 12/27.It is a "spacious 2 bedroom." we have in the living room a large sofa, dining room table (alcove), bookshelves, a desk in one corner, entertainment center, coffee table, lamps, and bar stools at the bar/island that divides the living room from the kitchen. One bathroom, has a large tub and 2 large wash basins, medicine cabinets, etc. We have a large storage closet outside on the patio, if you find this useful we'll sell it cheaply/at the same price we paid the previous renters who originally bought it.
