Pasadena Historical Society reviewed the home in 2003 and traced it's style/design origin to Colonial Reform from the 1930's. Home was fully renovated in 2003 + added Master Suite (500 sq. ft total added). However, the renovation architect kept to the original style & design and did not disrupt the natural flow of the home. As part of the renovation, brick work was added in the front and back yards to compliment the Colonial Reform style and the driveway was re-poured and cut into 3' squares, common practice in the original era it was built (1938). Red oak wood floors throughout the dining room, living room, hallway, foyer, and two guest bedrooms. Added solar energy system in 2014. In 2020, updated/renovated kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances, brick flooring, new cabinets, Caesarstone countertops, and farmhouse sink. Also upgraded to tankless water heater and new HVAC system. In 2021, completely renovated property landscape front & back - highlights include custom hot tub/spa, gas fire pit & outdoor kitchen + dining area. And in 2022, added whole house water filter/softener system and repainted entire exterior. Neighborhood Description Mountain Street is a throwback neighborhood. Mature trees line the street and form a canopy in our area. The extra wide street provides comfort and safety for the neighborhood - passing cars don't feel "close" to the sidewalks & front yards. Neighborhood personality is very interdependent - neighbors are familiar and friendly. Most residents have been around for a while and new residents are greeted with a hosted "get to know" gathering by an adjacent neighbor. There is an active community watch program, an annual Block Party in the Fall, and an annual progressive Holiday Party in December. We are proud to have a very diverse demographic in the neighborhood.
