Kitchen Updated in 2008, Basement Updated in 2005, Half Balth Updated in 2007 with Granite Countertops. Neighborhood Description Whittier is an established neighborhood with a mix of single family homes, townhomes and condominiums. The homes range in age from 20 years to newly built, but what attracted us to Whittier is the fact that all of the infrastructure is in place, the trees and vegetation are mature, and that the elementary school is right here in the neighborhood. It's wonderful to have parks and pools so conveniently located for our children, and the middle and high schools are only three miles away from our home. We picked one of the first homes built in Whittier because of the character and charm of the home, along with the charm of the streetscape. We love that we can see the mountains as they change colors with the seasons. The people here are a mix of young and old, singles and families, and we definitely have a melting pot in terms of cultures in Whittier as well. The retail center has been a welcome addition for everyone, I'd say. It's nice to be able to take the dry cleaning in, or stop by for ice cream while we're out on a walk, and if you need something that you can't get in Whittier, bigger retail is just a short drive away. Whittier is a pleasant place to live.
