The house is a two bedroom, one bath with a detached garage and an unfinished basement. Basement is very clean and usable, the landlord takes very good care of the house and is quick to respond to maintenance issues. Carpet and hardwood floors, new lighting, and ceiling fans to keep you cool. It has a very spacious yard, big enough we were able to ski around it this winter. Modern appliances including a gas stove. Located in Winchester, this home is ideally situated 20 minutes from downtown Boston and is only a mile and a half from the Winchester Center commuter rail station. It's a mile from the Middlesex Fells, which are absolutely great for walking, running, skiing (if we get snow), and mountain biking. We are really going to miss the Fells when we move away. Also a mile from Horn Pond, which a great place for a walk or run as well. Stop and Shop, Whole Foods, and an awesome bakery (Mamadou's) are a short drive away. Wegman's is 30 minutes away, and is the best grocery store we've been to on the east coast. Louie's pizza is close and great, they only make enough ingredients for each day so they close when they run out of food. A real local establishment. Come live in a place with great access to the city but also far enough out to easily escape to Vermont or Maine.
