Fabulous location near University Ave and across the street from a full city block park. Lots of windows looking out! If you are looking for a one-bedroom apartment in Palo Alto, look no more. Read on and then call Nancy at 650 324-252 to find out more. The apartment is the front unit of a one-story four-plex. It is located three blocks from University Avenue, which features fantastic restaurants, bookstores, cafes, bars, boutiques, etc. In fact, if you walk out the front door of the apartment and walk south for three short blocks, walking on either side of the street leads you directly onto University Avenue and its many shops and restaurants. Many of the restaurants and stores stay open late, so you'll find people out strolling along University Ave. well into the night on any day of the week. The rent of $2,495 does not include utilities. The approximate amount for all utilities (excluding phone/cable/TV) is $165 per month. The apartment is lovely. It features: Hardwood floors, four huge windows that fill the kitchen and living room with light. Three of these windows face west, so when you get home from work (or if you work from home) the apartment is filled with natural light. A spacious built in book-shelf beneath the windows A large closet in the bedroom A full bath tub and shower Electric heater in the bathroom A gas stove and oven and lots of cabinet space. A hall closet as well as an additional storage space above the bedroom closet. The apartment is located directly across from Johnson Park. This is a beautifully designed and well-maintained neighborhood park that occupies the entire square block. This social use of public space gives the neighborhood a very European feel. In addition to the large expanse of rich green grass, the park features a basketball hoop (no noise issue because it can only be used from sun-up to sun-down), a sand volleyball court, picnic tables, shaded benches, a community garden, and playground. The apartment is about a 5-minute drive to the 101 and an approximately 10-minute drive to the 280. A free shuttle runs up and down University Ave. and the Caltrain station is just a 5 min. walk away. The bad things are: parking is only on-street but with the new permit rules it is easy to find parking; no washer/dryer on-site - there is a laundromat close to Kepler's Book store which is not too far away, but many tenants have used a pickup and delivery service; no dishwasher or disposal.
