We are renting a two bedroom duplex with a quarter acre fenced backyard in a great little neighborhood. The apartment has a newly renovated, full-size kitchen, two good sized bedrooms, an open floor plan kitchen/bar/living room, a laundry room, and another large storage room. The duplex is the lower half of a single family home (totally separate unit) that has professionals/grad students/postdocs in their 30s living upstairs. There is very good sound isolation between upstairs and downstairs. The duplex opens up to a nice patio and shared backyard. The backyard is full of fruit trees and is ready for your seasonal vegetable garden, with built in raised beds. It's a 5-10 minute bike ride to downtown, grocery stores, Seabright Beach, or the bike shuttle to campus. And we are super close to DeLaveaga and Pogonip, both of which have redwood lined hiking and mountain biking trails. The electricity is sub-metered and the other utilities are split between the upstairs and downstairs unit on a per person basis. And we know it can be hard to find a place for pets and so we are happy to have dogs and cats, as well. Must get along with other dogs.
