Camp Baxter is a charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage nestled in a tranquil wooded area near the Indiana Dunes National Park in Miller Beach. This newly renovated 1920s cottage is perched on the side of a dune and boasts Smart Home technology, modern conveniences, and abundant amenities both inside and out. Enjoy the natural surroundings from the spacious, multi-level outdoor living spaces featuring a 6-person hot tub, firepit with provided firewood, outdoor dining area, and seasonal cushioned lounge furniture. The property is surrounded by a 6-foot tall perimeter fence for ultimate privacy. Parking is available for up to four vehicles, although the garage is not accessible to guests. The cottage offers a small but fully functional kitchen, a separate dining room with a table that flips to reveal a poker top, a cozy lower-level media room, and a vaulted, skylighted living room with large windows and glass patio doors that open to a 700 sq. ft. outdoor living space. The marble-tiled bathroom features heated floors and a jetted tub with a heated ledge seat. Additional amenities include complimentary Nespresso and Keurig coffee, four Smart TVs with digital Comcast Xfinity cable and video streaming, high-speed Wi-Fi, a Nest Thermostat, and a washer and dryer. Supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, dish soap and sponge, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, trash bags, firewood, bath and beach towels, and all bedding are provided. We are dog-friendly and allow up to four adult house-trained dogs. Per dog fees are $79 for a 2-night stay, $29 per night for a 3-night stay, or $200 per week. Guests may request an early check-in at 1pm and/or a late checkout at 1pm, each available for a fee of $69 during peak season and $39 during non-peak season. An additional guest fee applies over four people at $25 per person per night, not including children under two years of age. In certain cases, an additional holiday premium may apply to your dates. The street leading to Camp Baxter is narrow and easy to miss upon arrival. Once you enter the gated compound filled with mature black oaks, evergreens, and wildflowers, it is easy to become one with nature and experience the beauty of the Dunes in all four seasons. Licensee must be at least 30 years of age and abide by all terms and conditions of the signed vacation rental agreement. No high school, college, after-prom party, or any other underage groups are allowed. No bachelor or similar groups are permitted. Excessive cleaning, if required, is billed at $35 per hour, and repairs due to damages are $45 per hour. If anything becomes ruined or missing, you will be charged accordingly. No smoking inside or anywhere within 15 feet of any open door or window, with a $1000 fine for violations. Neighborhood quiet hours are strictly enforced from 9PM-9AM. Parties, events, lack of decorum, and disruptive noise will not be tolerated. If the neighbors are disturbed, the tenant may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund. Outdoor music is not permitted after 9PM. Small wireless Bluetooth speakers are permitted except during quiet hours. Not permitted are party speakers, amps, subwoofers, stereo surround systems, or other high-powered audio equipment.
