93-year-old summer cabin on Lake Merwin. Only two owners the last 76 years. Well known NW property that is 55 minutes from downtown Portland. This property is one of only 19 homes on the restricted 12-mile lake. This is an off the grid property. There is no electric utility power to it. The power comes from a generator that operates the lights, water, and flushing toilet. This is a historic single wall construction cabin. I close it by the 1st of November and open it back up on the 1st of March. The cabin is currently heated with the wood stove but is not adequate during those 4 months it is closed. This has an outhouse with a shower, sink and flush toilet that is nicely finished. This is exactly like owning an island. The reason it is so well preserved is that the only access is by boat. There is no road to the property. For 16 years, I have had a covered boat shed. When I come into the park I stop and hook up the boat and put it in at the private boat ramp, which is rarely used. I load up all the food supplies, our dog, and guests when they arrive and take them over in the "limo" boat. All 33 properties in this Woodland Park gated enclave all are on a lease with Pacific Power. A Sea Ray boat is included in the sale. All the furnishings in the cabin are from the 1920's to late 1940's, no expense spared. The furnishings are negotiable.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
