I have been living in Austin for over 22 years; this is my favorite area hands down!.. why you ask? because it is quiet; you are surrounded by nature; are on the greenbelt trail; can walk to Barton Springs/ Zilker park or owl point (yes there are owls there..a 35 minute hike one way from your front door ) for the best sunset spot in Austin (ask me); are right off Mopac and close to downtown; are right next to a killer local taco place and cafe! there is even an owl house and resident owls right off the porch.
