During spring and summer you have people biking, running or cruising down the parkway. Winter there are people cross country skiing. There are no major retailing areas in the neighborhood. Smaller coffee shops, barbers and other sole proprietorships are scattered in the area. If you need to do some more serious shopping Lake street has more of a commerce area with banks, restaurants, retailers, gas stations etc. The U of MN is all of 1 mile away, St. Thomas is all of 2 miles away. A golf course/country club is located across the river.
