Downstairs room for rent in a family home, for a 6 month lease (extension available). All utilities paid, including internet, you just cover your own food and other consumables. Hot tub and laundry facilities on site (and free to use), and you will have your own parking space behind the garage. Now I can't believe I have to say this, but NO DRUGS! No smoking, but drinking is fine in small amounts on occasion. People have allergies, so...no pets either. This is a FAMILY home, after all. One with a couple busted-up veterans, and we lost the ability to be "nice" for its own sake a LONG time ago. The purpose of the place is to give people the break they need to get their life back on track. So the "deposit" is actually the last month's rent, that way when you move out you will have one less bill to worry about. So students needing a place to finish out a semester, people moving into the area that need a base camp to apartment or house hunt, or somebody whose life burned down and now they need to rebuild it. Those are the general types of people I am seeking to rent to, but obviously not the ENTIRE group of renters welcome here...just the "general theme" to get the idea across: this is a place to catch your breath. NO smoking, NO drug use, NO DRUG USE, no open alcohol containers (even empty...they STILL reek and make my nose bleed). Lease is 6 months long, with extension available with mutual agreement. Deposit represents last month's rent, bills are included in the rent (you just pay for your own consumables). The whole POINT of this is to allow people to have a short-term place they can use to get their lives back on track, not to be a flop-house or long term home. My family lives here, and we are cranky old veterans, and are just trying to help people out...but you have to be TRYING to do better in life, NOT looking to just let your life pass you by!
