    We are absolutely honored to market and represent the “ Captain Stuart S. Harris “ farmland auction in Audubon County, Iowa. Captain Stuart Harris was a founding member of Audubon, Iowa. Captain Stuart Harris had acquired some 10,000 acres of farmland in the area of Audubon County in the late 1800’s. Over the last century and a half the land has changed ownership. Today this is the last Captain Stuart Harris farm that remains in the Harris family. This farm has quite the history and has not been to the public market for over a century and a half. The farm consists of 233.44 +/- net acres, located 7 miles northeast of Audubon, Iowa. The farm will be offered at a public auction on March 6th, 2024 at 12:00PM at the Audubon Recreation Center Audubon, we will be providing restaurant meals and soft drinks at the auction from 11:30 AM- 1 PM. The farm will be offered in one tract. The farm has 222.59 +/- acres considered FSA cropland acres. The farm carries an 78.6 CSR2 value throughout the cropland acres with good productive soils for the area. The farm will be sold with a crop share lease in place for the 2024 growing season. The seller will be crediting the new buyer a $300 per cropland acre at closing. The home and buildings and grain storage will sell with the farmland as a whole.
