We have a historic 1923 Tudor style home, with lots of charm and character, available for a 5 month lease. Sunny, spacious and full of plants, with high ceilings, and hardwood floors. House is fully furnished with 2 queen bedrooms. We will put our personal items in one locked room for storage. The downstairs is wheelchair accessible, though not completely ADA compliant. The two bedrooms are upstairs. The large unfinished basement and screen porch are down another flight of stairs. Well stocked kitchen with gas stove. Spa type bathroom with dual shower and heated floor downstairs. Wood burning fireplace. We recently added a screened in deck with a 6 person hot tub. It's our favorite room in the house! With its sun shades, it affords privacy and terrific views as well as therapeutic hydro massage. Our West Asheville location can't be beat. Walk to nearby cafes, bakeries, restaurants, breweries, and music venues on vibrant Haywood Rd and walk home again. The French Broad River with its accompanying greenways is 1/2 mile. The RAD (River Arts District) is right across the river. Downtown is a 5 minute drive. I have owned and loved this house for 20+ years. In the 1930's it belonged to the Railway manager who could look across the river and see the trains arriving and departing. In the 1940's it was split into a duplex and was a boarding house for railway workers. We hope to find renters who will appreciate this historic home as much as we do. We wish to lease our home for a 5 month period 11/1/26 to 3/31/26. The house is fully furnished with 2 queen beds available. House is non-smoking. We will allow a well-behaved cat or small dog with an an additional deposit. We have always had cats, and though our house is not "catty," if you are super allergic, this house might not suit you. Parking is one spot on a sloped driveway and ample street parking. We ask for $2,400 as a security deposit. Water, electricity and internet are included. Central heat is with a natural gas boiler and is also included up to a reasonable amount (to be defined). Hot Tub requires some regular maintenance, easily learned. We provide the chemicals and will walk you through it.
