Inaccessible to the public, this private island home is a perfect for family getaway sanctuary, and with high speed internet and app-controlled heat/AC it has been enjoyed as a full time home year-round. We love the lake views from every room in the home, the decks off of both upstairs bedrooms for enjoying morning sunrise over the lake with coffee, and entertaining in the kitchen or out on the deck while enjoying stunning views of Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens across the lake. A sandy waterfront entry makes it ideal for kids and visitors to play in the water. We love the boat slip being just a few paved steps from the door. We adore slow weekend mornings waking up to epic sunrises and nesting wood ducks on our property, morning coffee paddleboard cruises around the island as a family, happy hour pontoon cruises nightly on the lake, slow meals on the lakefront deck, and enjoying the hot tub and wood burning stove for added coziness on silent winter nights. We love that we can feel totally isolated from busy life on the island, but still get takeout easily if we'd like. The location is incredible; we love being under an hour from PDX and a couple of hours from Seattle. Being on the island's leeward side make this home on what's locally known as the "banana belt", making it enjoyable to be outside all year round on the gorgeously landscaped property.
