Chestnut Hill Plantation boasts many fine amenities that make our neighborhood an attractive place to live. The centerpiece is the stone-faced Club House and adjoining junior olympic swimming pool. Four tennis courts and numerous fishing areas, nature trails, and large a playing field also complement the cluhouse area. Residents also have access to two boat ramps--one on the central lake across from The Grove, and one on the Broad River off Clubhouse Drive. The natural areas and landscaping throughout the neighborhood create an environment that is in harmony with nature. Four Night-lit Tennis Courts are available for play. Windscreens on all sides cut down on wind turbulence. Courts secured with combination locks. Trails in Natural Areas to be Expanded Did you know that Chestnut Hill has an award winning wildlife sanctuary and conservation area complete with a nature trail, river access and an abundance of wildlife? The area begins at the Broad River boat ramp dirt road and runs all the way back to the dam on neighborhood lake. Currently, there is only one short looping trail that begins to the right of tile tennis courts, runs through the woods, passes by a mountain-scene-like rock face, passes behind several homes in the White Oak subdivision, around two ponds and then comes back to where the trail began. The HOA hopes to expand the trails to provide better access and include a greater part of the conservation area. Future trails will also blend in with the natural habitat.
