The showpiece is the extraordinary living room, large and boasting much fine woodwork, notably the carved pedestals and scroll-and-leaf mantel adorning the fireplace. The dining room is also elegant, as is the library/den, with its raised panels. The kitchen includes beautiful wooden flooring and opens to a brick-floored family room with a fully-bricked fireplace featuring a Jotul wood-burning stove. Off the family room, on the south, creek-facing side, is a sun room with 6 sliding glass doors, a glider, and a magnificent view of Newcomb Creek. The view of the water, as well as privacy, is extended and enhanced by the inlets that border the house on either side. The south portion of the roof, invisible from the front, has an active solar array (will find out how much power it produces). A circa-2020 dock juts 70 feet into the creek and includes a number of mooring posts. (Will find out mean low water)
