CONTRACT SIGNED Classic Limestone Townhouse This property is an Estate sale. When similar houses by the same architect have sold for $4 million or more close by it is not hard to see the value in restoring this beautiful property. This grand Limestone townhouse is within the North Crown Heights II landmark designation. It was designed by Architects Chappell & Bosworth in the Renaissance Revival style in 1909 for the original owner and builder Charles G. Reynolds. It is one in a row of twelve similar Townhouses on New York Avenue between Lincoln Place and St Johns Place. This two family property is in estate condition and has had a single owner for a generation. It needs a new owner with the vision to bring it back to its original glory. Nearly all of the original features including floors, fireplaces, wainscoting, plaster mouldings and more remain intact. The house is 18 x 50ft on three levels giving 2700 sq ft of living space over the three floors.Typical of the Renaissance Revival style it has an "L" shaped stoop with two landings with classical ornamentation around door and window openings. The parlour level has been slightly altered to accommodate a doctor's office some time ago. The second and third floors are accessed via a grand central staircase. The second and third floors contain most of the original details from its heydey. Close to the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Prospect Park. Transportation two blocks to the Nostrand Ave stop for the 2,3,4&5 trains.

This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
