This is a sublet through June 2022 with the opportunity sign a yearly lease after. It is available starting November 1. The unit is the first floor of a two-unit building in Northwest Logan Square. There are friendly tenants living on the second floor with their cats. The landlord is responsive and accepts rent payments via check or online bank transfer. Pets under 40 pounds allowed with a one-time pet fee ($100). We have lived here happily for five years. For downtown commuters, the Logan Square Blue Line station - a station which gets picked up before the Blue Line is completely rammed in the morning - is within walking distance. There are numerous grocery and restaurant options within walking distance. For outdoor activities, the apartment is a short walk to Kosciuszko Park on Diversey and Unity Park on Kimball. When getting out of town, there are several ramps to I-90/94 which are within two miles of the house and O'Hare is a 30-minute train ride from the Logan Square Blue Line station. The main room is large and open. It can serve as one big living room or be split into a living and a dining room or a home office. Three East facing windows let in a lot of morning light. The apartment has nine-foot ceilings throughout, so the space feels every bit as large as it is. One bedroom is 11'x9' with a large closet wide enough for a dresser. The other room is 10'x9' with a medium-sized closet. The kitchen is large with ample counter space. There is a full-size refrigerator, a dishwasher and a gas range and oven. There is a walk-in pantry for dry food storage just off the kitchen, adjacent to the back door. There are free-to-use washer and dryer in the basement as well as some unfinished storage space. In the five years we have been here, there have been no issues of water entering the basement. There is free, no-permit street parking in front of the building. Also, there is one garage space for an additional $150 per month. The small fenced-in back yard is great for small dogs, barbecues and fire pits. There is also a small, shared garden space next to the garage. We have had a lot of success growing cherry tomatoes and various peppers. Interested tenants must agree to and pay for a credit check and pay first (prorated if not moving in on Nov. 1) and last month's rent prior to moving in. Water and trash/recycling is included but tenants pay for gas and electric. Owner pays for water and trash. Renter responsible for electric and gas. No smoking indoors. One-time pet fee per small to medium-sized animal ($100). Free-to-use washer and dryer in shared basement.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
