Casa DeSoto is a meticulously renovated and charming 1920's home in the heart of downtown St. Augustine's Historic District. Nestled on a quiet one-way street with plenty of coveted off-street parking, the home is a short 2-block walk to all of the city's famous attractions. You'll be provided with just about everything you need to relax and unwind during your stay. A complimentary bottle of local wine awaits your arrival to celebrate the start of your vacation. Take your glass to the backyard, a beautiful oasis with an abundance of seating options to take in the lovely landscaping that includes over 50 different types of plants and a bird feeding tower that attracts many various species. As you prepare for bed, loosen up in the jetted bathtub with a bath bomb. The kitchen provides all the necessities and more for your in-home meals. All glasses, plates, and silverware are well stocked, along with all of the proper cooking utensils. Appliances include a Crockpot, Coffee Pot, Kuerig (beginning supply of k-pods provided at check-in), French Press, Toaster, Hot Water Kettle, Electric Skillet, and much more. The home is located within leafy Lincolnville, home to the largest concentrations of late Victorian era buildings in the city and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Being within walking distance of St. Augustine's tourism epicenter, Lincolnville is a 140-acre walkable neighborhood and also holds the distinction of being one of the most charming. Experience flavorful dining, art, and culture with an abundance of entertainment right on your doorstep. The house is 3 blocks from the city marina with daily boat and slip rentals where guests can bring along their own boat and see the city from a different perspective. Jump aboard the Trolley to take an easy tour of the city. Experience sun, fun, history, and mystery from the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and everything in between, there is something for everyone and all just minutes from the house. The home has an active security camera installed at the front door (Ring Video Doorbell). No private areas can be seen and there are no other cameras inside or outside the home. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am per St. Johns County ordinance and are enforced. Any guests outside of the reservation must vacate the property during this time. An attempt to remove, tamper, or disconnect the internet to Ring may result in the reservation being canceled and guests requested to vacate the premises. No pets are allowed on the property at any time. No vaping or smoking is allowed whatsoever on the property, including the front porch. This is strictly enforced. If evidence of smoking is found, you will be subject to an additional cleaning fee. Late check-outs and early check-ins are not allowed without prior approval. Guests who stay past checkout time will be charged an additional fee of $50 per hour. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited, including marijuana. No underage drinking is allowed. Do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper. While children are allowed, the home is not child-proofed. Parents with younger children use the home at their own risk. Checkout procedures must be completed as written here and posted in the house. Any excessive mess will result in an additional cleaning fee.
