Furnished room in sunny house available for short or long-term sublet! Hello! We are looking for someone to join our five-bedroom home in Belmont, MA along bus rt. 73 (easy commute into Cambridge). Larisa (she/her) is a 35-year-old architectural designer, plant mom, movie buff and Joe (he/him) is a 36-year-old physical oceanographer, grass-roots organizer, and enthusiastic cook. We like to keep our shared spaces clean and tidy (especially the kitchen surfaces/dishes/fridge), and the atmosphere open and judgment-free. We value creating a sense of home and community and are down to cook, eat, and read together / support each other from time to time. Other interests include music/concerts, mushroom foraging, prison abolition, dancing, pottery, and woodworking. Rent is $1250/mo. Utilities are $50-$100/mo/person. The landlord cares about the property and is always responsive to our needs. The house is a 2-minute walk from bus rt. 73 and is surprisingly convenient to commute within Cambridge, takes you straight to Harvard Sq- we also carpool a few days of the week. Laundry is in the unit and free. The kitchen is stocked with lots of nice equipment, storage (and 100+ cookbooks to boot). The back yard lovely is big enough to grill and host a medium-sized gathering. Although it is a 5-bedroom/2bathroom unit, we are at the moment only filling 3 of the rooms and using 2 as guest bedrooms/hobby spaces. The unit is big with lots of nooks and balconies, so there is space to work from home if need be. The room is currently furnished, but we could cycle the furniture out for the right person.
