Comfortably curated and constantly being upgraded, our house is a reflection of our travels. We completely renovated this 3-story house, originally built in 1908, back in 2010 and added modern amenities and appliances. Each floor has zoned AC and heat. The house is fully furnished, but we would consider renting without furnishings under certain conditions. The house also has high speed wifi, a very large chef's kitchen, and a Turkish sauna shower. Within 3 blocks of downtown Del Ray (and 2 blocks to the 10A bus to the Pentagon Metro Station), our cosy 3 bedroom house offers an open plan, high ceilings, and large rooms. Del Ray is extremely kid friendly with more than 15 playgrounds and parks within walking distance, and our house has hosted more than five young families who have welcomed new babies while staying here. The furnishings include a crib and numerous baby and kid amenities such as a high chair, rockers, kid fencing (if needed), and a kid's kitchen toy set among many other things. We are heading out of the area for awhile and are looking for a family that is transitioning in or out of DC or similar circumstances. We have hosted numerous DoD and DoS families and this would be an ideal fit for somebody in a similar transition. There is a completely separate (autonomous entrance and no shared amenities) basement apartment that we have rented in the past, but it will remain unrented during the term of your stay. One of us may stay in the basement apartment very infrequently if we are in town for business (most likely one or two weeks during the six-month term). Cleaning services can be arranged for a fee. Small town feel with farmer's market and lots of boutique shops and restaurants in walking distance, not to mention regular weekend festivities and First Thursday's throughput the warmer months. Tours of the house are available after December 7, 2021. The furnished lease includes all utilities and internet service. The minimum rental period is six months although we would consider up to one year. The ideal renter would be moving in between January 5 and January 15, 2022.
