Priced under value. Location, location, location. Well maintained, six-bedroom home in lovely neighborhood on quiet cul-de-sac. pictures not as good as actual unit. Light, bright, open and spacious 6-bedroom home with two separate sun filled living rooms (both with wood burning fireplace) ideally located on a wonderful, quiet, cul-de-sac 100 meters from Fort Scott park. Perfect place for anyone that wants to be as close as possible to the city, but live in a wonderful, family friendly and completely safe neighborhood. *Note on pictures* Every window and exterior door in the home was replaced with beautiful, energy efficient doors and windows. Pictures with old windows and doors are otherwise accurate and recent, but all doors and windows have been upgraded. Location: The ideal location for anyone working in the Pentagon/Crystal City area. Also ideal for anyone that is working in DC but does not want to live in DC proper. The home sits atop the ridge that defines the Fort Scott neighborhood, on a lovely, flat, quiet cul-de-sac with a wonderful neighborhood feel and an incredibly friendly community. The front door is less than 100 meters to the back entrance to lovely Fort Scott Park. Walking distance to Crystal City and an extremely short drive to both DC and Oldtown Alexandria. Three-minute drive to Route 1, four minutes to 395, ten minutes to downtown DC (traffic dependent, of course), metro access around one mile away at Pentagon City or Crystal City stations. Three minutes to DCA. (Please see last picture for highlights on location.) The space: What appears to be a single-story rambler is actually a two-story, spacious, light filled, legitimate six-bedroom home with tons of storage. The home saw a significant renovation/makeover in 2022. The first floor boasts four separate bedrooms (one of which is a master suite with a recently renovated bathroom, large walk in closet, and beautiful picture window overlooking the expansive, fenced-in back yard), a light, bright, and open kitchen, a separate dining room, a beautiful, light-filled living room with fire place, a guest bath, a light filled entrance foyer and a hallway. The lower level consists of another beautiful, spacious, light-filled living room with fireplace and exposed brick, 2 bedrooms (one with a gorgeous picture window opening to the lovely back yard), a very large laundry and storage room, a very large storage and utilities room, and an additional, large, actual storage unit (odd, but true). Please see last two pictures in listing for dimensions of all rooms (not to scale, but measurements are accurate). Outside there is a large, beautiful front yard and sitting area overlooking the lovely, quiet street. In back there is an expansive, fenced in yard that is ideal for letting kids and dogs run and play. (The yard was recently updated in 2022 and 2023. Additional plantings or other landscaping are possible if desired by good, long-term tenants. Specifically, privacy shrubs in the back yard may be a good idea.) There is an off-street parking pad that could potentially accommodate two cars, and abundant street parking directly in front of the house. No issues with parking here. Rent: 5,500 per month, with a security deposit of 5,000. The tenants will need to maintain the lawn and collect leaves, but any major landscaping is the responsiblity of the owner. Tenants are responsible for utilities (electricity, water, gas) and whatever internet/tv services they elect to set up. Lease Term: Two year or longer lease preferred. Property will be available around the end of September, 2025. Schools: Oakridge elementary, Gunston Middle, and Wakefield High. Additional Info: - New Refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave installed in 2022. New washer and dryer installed in 2024. - New, energy efficient windows and doors installed in 2022/2023. - HVAC system recently upgraded. Excellent Heating and Cooling. Home also includes a "whole house fan" that is actually extremely helpful for cooling the entire house very fast and reducing energy costs. - New water heater installed 2022. - Extremely responsive landlord. References on request. If you have any questions, please ask. If you are seriously interested in the property, please write me a little bit about yourself and your situation. I am not a big company, just an individual renting out my family's home. I will be the best landlord you will ever have (I do manage two of my own properties as well), but I first want to make sure that I find someone who is the right fit for the property, and vice versa. I want to make sure that whoever lives in this home loves living there and hopefully stay a long time. In particular, if you are new to DC, you will learn that your commute (or lack of a commute) will determine your happiness. This home is ideal for someone that will be working in Crystal City, the Pentagon, DC, Alexandria, and other close locations like that. If you are going to commute to Rockville, this is probably not the home for you. Owner pays for yard service and any maintenance. Tenants are responsible for utilities and whatever cable/internet they desire.
