    About 140 years have passed since the founders of the Gum Springs Schoolhouse and the Prairie View Cemetery came to these parts, and reminders of their presence still exists today. Although the church and school are gone, the land that hosted these early pioneers still exists with fertile soil and underground water, a settler’s best combination. Sitting near the cemetery, this property is now set up for the modern rancher.
