    Great hunting property located just northwest of Chandlerville, Illinois. Each time I have been on this farm I have seen multiple deer and a whole lot of sign. Though this farm is only 39± acres, its location allows it to attract and hold a number of deer and mature bucks. Large ag fields to the west, Chandlerville to the east, and Sangamon River bottom to the north makes this a perfect location to ambush a trophy whitetail. The property is enrolled in a CREP easement which will end in 2031. At that point the owner may elect to convert acres back into production ground and take advantage of the strong soils which boast an average PI of 137.2. Until then, the owner can take advantage of the amazing hunting opportunities this thick wooded and grassy habitat offers. The farm could be taken to another level with the addition of strategically placed food plots. The current practice allows for up to 20% of the total FSA cropland to be put into food plots. This equals approximately 7.86 total acres of potential food with no one plot exceeding 5 acres in size.
