Below is a letter from the previous tenant. What we love about 2809 W Elmore Place: This place is such a gem. Situated on a quiet street, the freshly painted house has been loved and well maintained over the years. It feels cheerful and cozy. There is a wonderful sense of light and air throughout the house. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are spacious and quiet. There are good-size closets in both and a linen closet and coat closet in the main hallway. Downstairs offers plenty of space and storage options. The backyard is charming year-round, with spring being a highlight as lilacs, roses, and ferns emerge. A large apple tree provides shade and a place for birds. As spring turns to summer, the beautiful green foliage of St. John's Wort is dotted with wonderful yellow flowers. It's a great space to sit and be still. The neighborhood is quiet and feels like a small town. It is a lovely area, full of hydrangeas, azaleas, Magnolias, poppies, cherry and apple trees that blossom in the spring. The walkability of the neighborhood is marvelous. We can stroll to Ballard Locks and watch the herons soar to and from nests in the rockery as seals and sea lions splash in the waters below. We can walk down to charming Magnolia Village and grab a book at the bookstore or stop in at Petite Pierre for chocolate or tools from Ace Hardware. There's a post office and the Magnolia branch of the Seattle Library. Metropolitan Market and Albertsons are close by and the Village hosts a great Farmer's Market June - October. While Magnolia is self-contained and feels like its own village, it remains accessible: one can get to downtown Seattle within minutes or take the Bridge over into Ballard and beyond. The neighbors are friendly and we felt welcomed. It feels like a community here. It feels like home.
