His youngest daughter, Flora, married Robert Burian of the famed Burian-Moss Photographers. The house has been home to only three families. John Coleman was a New Orleans native and a successful businessman; Mrs. Coleman was born in Ireland. The Colemans came to Hartford from Toronto and lived in this house until 1937 when they moved to Birmingham, Alabama. (Fun fact: Mr. Coleman was born on July 25, 1882. The current owners were married on July 25, 1881 99 years later!) The house was then owned by Dr. Morris Mancoll, an ophthalmologist, and his wife, Edith.
