Roaring Fork Riverfront | Deck, Fire Pit, Wildlife Paradise Ranch is a furnished 3-bedroom, 2-bath family home three miles from downtown Aspen, next to North Star Nature Preserve, with the Roaring Fork River passing thirty feet from the house. Rentals for the month of September ONLY - Aug 28 to Sept 28, 2026. No shorter stays or full season stay inquiries, please! Pet-free and smoke-free. Wildlife here is not a rare event. Moose, elk, deer, and hummingbirds come through the yard regularly. The river is right there from the deck, close enough to watch over your morning coffee, and the peace and quiet is unmatched. This is a real family home, not a staged rental, and the difference shows. Exposed timber beams, a vaulted great room, a wood stove for cold mornings, and a curved wall of stained glass in the primary bedroom that fills the room with color at sunrise. The house will be professionally cleaned before you arrive, and the pantry stocked with flour, oil, sugar, and spices for you to use. THE SPACE Three bedrooms, two baths. King bed in the primary. Two of the bedrooms have desks, which makes for an easy month if you are working remotely, with high-speed WiFi throughout. The great room is the heart of the house: vaulted ceilings, timber beams, and sliding doors opening straight onto the deck. The kitchen is large and full of light, with double wall ovens, island seating, and a wall of windows over the sink looking into the trees. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher. OUTSIDE The yard is the reason for the name. A wide green lawn runs from the house down to the water, framed by mature spruce and aspen, with a pond and water feature and a fire pit near the river's edge. A large deck spans the back of the house, looking straight out over the river, with a dining table and umbrella and an open section for afternoon sun. Paddleboarding and canoeing start right from the property, on the same flatwater stretch through North Star that draws people from all over the valley. EARLY FALL IN ASPEN The most beautiful stretch of the year. Cool mornings, warm afternoons, golden leaves, and trails that finally open up. Hiking and biking at their best, with the Mother Lode Volleyball Tournament and Ruggerfest both in full swing. Maroon Bells, Hunter Creek, and the Rio Grande Trail are all close, and downtown is three miles away. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW No smoking anywhere on the property, inside or out. This is the driest stretch of the year in a fire valley, so the rule is firm. No pets. This rules out some wonderful people, unfortunately. The animals moving through this yard are what make the place feel the way it does, and dogs change their behavior long after a visit ends. The river is unfenced and moves faster than it looks. Please use it at your own risk, wear a life vest, and supervise children closely. If the hummingbirds are still around when you arrive, keeping their feeders full would be appreciated. It takes two minutes and instructions will be waiting. Beyond that, just treat the house like your own. TERMS One-month furnished lease, August 28 to September 28, 2026. Utilities, trash, and recycling included. $5,000 security deposit at signing, returned within 30 days of move-out and usually within two weeks. Renters insurance with $300,000 minimum liability required, with proof of coverage before move-in. A brief FaceTime call comes before confirming a booking.
