Collaborated with Rachel Duarte Design Studio out of Pasadena, California to complete a top to bottom renovation in 2011, including: new hardwood floors in the living room, dining (we use as a wine/library room), and hallway; new carpets in the bedrooms, beautiful large-scale subway-style tile floors in the kitchen, laundry room, powder bath, hall bath, and master bath; new custom cabinetry in the kitchen incorporating built in gas range, built in wall oven, built in wall microwave, and expanded room for a very large french door style refrigerator; subway style back splash in the kitchen, granite counter tops on cabinet surrounds and bar top, with contrasting granite on oversized island, deep double sink, high quality kitchen faucet, new LED ceiling lighting and new pendants over the island and sink; new high quality plumbing fixtures in all bathrooms (sinks and showers); new subway tile shower surrounds in hall and master bath, marble counter tops in hall bath and master bath, mosaic glass counter top in the powder bath, with coordinating hardware throughout (door handles, cabinet pulls, towel bars, etc); updated indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, 2 inch white wood blinds and paint throughout. Also added shelving and storage to the existing large outdoor shed. The renovation kept (and highlighted) many of the exiting features of the custom built home, including the vaulted ceiling in the master, tray ceilings in the bedrooms, double tray ceiling in the living room, crown molding throughout, detailed window and door trim throughout, wainscoting in the dining/wine/library and entry, large windows and the beautiful front door. Over the years, we have also improved the turf grass, completely relandscaped the front and back, added a large patio in the front yard, seating areas in the back yard, playscapes, and a goldfish pond.
